Madonna on the magazine W

Madonna on the magazine W
A service composed from very 58 pages on the magazine W of june, edited by Steven Klein, to its second collaboration with the protagonist Madonna, that we see in cover thanks to Fashionologie.

58 Pages are many, or if it is a shocking service could be little.

After the incident to horse of some month it makes, the cover tito it "Madonna rides again" perhaps and the apparel seems adapted to a healthy raid by horseback. a piccante P2o to me, but it is also always a look from cavallerizza!

Lately to the "center of the attention", even if to the end it never does not remain in the shadow, for the attended beginning of the tour, on which little but interesting news run. Here a part of the piccante photographic service.........

DVD On A Plotter, Not Bad

DVD On A Plotter, Not Bad
I tried plugging a regular household DVD player into two video capable plotters last week, and the results were quite viewable, confirming the value of helm stereos that can also play video discs. That's a Standard Horizon CP1000 10" above and a Raymarine E120 12" below. Both have some control over picture brightness, contrast, and color saturation, though the E's is easier to find and use.

he E also has a choice of aspect ratios, but I still couldn't get the picture to fill the full width of the screen. And yes, that is the actor from Friends who now mocks his acting career on the TV show Joey. This particular job, Lost in Space, must have been inspirational. I have no idea why the DVD is lying around my house.........

The Congos And Friends

The Congos And Friends
One-rhythm albums have been a fixture of reggae since the mid-seventies. Commonly they compile previously released singles by different artists who re-used the same rhythm track; however, this two-disc set compiles brand new versions of a Lee Perry rhythm from 1977, The Congos' "Fisherman".

Blood and Fire enlisted Basic Channel/Burial Mix's Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald to provide edits, mixdown, and mastering (no doubt inspired by last year's excellent Rhythm & Sound series See Mi Yah). The set begins with an edit of the original "Fisherman" track. Oddly enough, this version removes the fun bass vocals of Watty "King" Burnett, and tape drop-outs seem even more pronounced than on the reissued Heart of the Congos LP. The first disc continues with contributions from the most senior artists. Big Youth deejays, grooving to the rhythm, asking, "Did ye hear what The Congos say?" He toasts about fishing in the literal sense, saying "The hungry must be fed," his voice leaping into an upper register. Horace Andy's "Love Love Love" is especially moving, beginning with the phrase, "Live in love and unity!" He continues, "All violence must come to an end," his voice sweet as ever.........

Beatles Catalog Going Online

Beatles Catalog Going Online
The Beatles spearheaded a cultural revolution, but when it comes to the the Internet one, they've more or less remained spectators. Until now. The Fabs catalog will finally be made available online, as per Neil Aspinall, former Beatles road manager and managing director of Apple Corps, which is currently awaiting decision in a trademark lawsuit with Apple Computer.

Aspinall made known during the trial last week that the online sale will coincide with the release of newly remastered editions of the Beatles' albums (also long overdue). Still, there is no word on which Internet music service will offer the music or exactly when.

Kiss Tribute Band Rivalry

Kiss Tribute Band Rivalry
Rival bands clash over little-person KISS tribute.

A Las Vegas incident highlights the MiniKiss- Tiny Kiss tussle over who owns the concept.

By Robert W. Welkos, Times Staff Writer.

April 11, 2006.

They might be pint-sized performers onstage, but offstage they're in a giant-sized dispute.

Joey Fatale, the 4-foot, 4-inch New Yorker who heads the all-dwarf KISS tribute band MiniKiss, is denying published reports that he tried to sneak past security last month at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to confront a rival band leader, 4-foot "Little" Tim Loomis of Tiny Kiss, for allegedly ripping off his idea for such a group.

Loomis, a former drummer for MiniKiss, waccording toforming with Tiny Kiss, which includes three little people and a 350-pound woman, on St. Patrick's Day at Beacher's Madhouse, a Las Vegas variety show, when the incident occurred.

Show host Jeff Beacher told The Times on Monday that Fatale "tried to sneak in saying he was Tiny Kiss" and had to be escorted from the premises. As per the New York Post, Fatale's lawyers sent a legal cease-and-desist letter to the show trying to shut down the act.

Loomis told the Post: "[Fatale] came out here [to Las Vegas] and tried to cause trouble, so I had him 86'd from the Hard Rock. The impression I got was that he was looking for a fight. He'd been threatening me over the phone".........

Kylie Minogue: Life Story

Kylie Minogue: Life Story
Kylie Ann Minogue ( born May 28, 1968) is an Australian singer and actress. She rose to prominence in the late 1980s as a result of her role in the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, before commencing her career as a pop singer and recording artist.

Signed to a contract by British songwriters and producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, she achieved a string of hit records throughout the world, but her popularity began to decline by the early part of 1990s, leading her to part company from Stock, Aitken and Waterman in 1992. For several years she attempted to establish herself as an independent performer and songwriter, distancing herself from her earlier work. Her projects were widely publicised, but despite a couple of hit singles, her albums failed to attract a substantial audience, resulting in the lowest sales of her career.

In 2000, Minogue returned to popularity as a dance/pop music artist and became well-known for her provocative music videos and expensively mounted stage shows. Minogue has established one of the longest and most successful careers as a performer in contemporary pop music, and in Europe and Australia has become one of her generation's most recognisable celebrities and sex symbols. In Australia, after being dismissed early in her career by many critics, she has been acclaimed for her achievements; she holds the record for the highest concert ticket sales for a female performer, and is the only female performer to place nine singles at number one on the Australian singles chart.........

Heart Of The Congos

Heart Of The Congos
The Congos are a reggae/dub band that I discovered from an interview with Beck. Beck was asked what the greatest album ever recorded was and instead of saying something you might expect like one of the Beatles albums or Pet Sounds he threw out Heart of the Congos by a Jamaican band called The Congos. Of course I had to seek it out. It took some time but I finally found it at the great Zulu records in Vancouver on one trip out there.

In 1996 Blood and Fire repackaged the long sought after album and put it out on CD complete with a second album of remixes. It's a beautiful package of some of the finest dub and reggae you will ever here. There is some similarity to some other Jamaican music you will hear but for the most part, even to this day, the music on Heart of the Congos remains very original and sounds even fresh to this day, due to the brilliant production of Lee "Scratch" Perry. If you come across this at your local music shop, disregard the ticket price and pick it up. I think you will be very impressed and wonder how you previously did without this album.
